چکیده

Abstract. Aluminium-matrix composites (AMC) are produced in order to improve specific properties (e.g. mechanical, thermal or tribological) of the matrix alloy using discontinuous reinforcements like fibres particles. If functional requirements application components such as brake discs have be met, reinforcement contents more than 35 % may required. Therefore, a new manufacturing route is currently being investigated at Institute for Metal Forming Technology (IFU) University Stuttgart, combining powder pressing with subsequent semi-solid forming obtain near-net-shape components. A key challenge this process includes compacting green bodies. In contribution, therefore, AlSi7Mg0.6 and SiCp powders up 50 vol.% gain deeper understanding behaviour particularly high contents. During investigations, homogenously mixed were consolidated cylindrical body by uniaxial determine compressibility different AMC mixtures. At first, influence consolidation pressure onto reached density was analysed, resulting curves well limits amounts Subsequently, particle size achieved could identified. Furthermore, tool wear due abrasive quantified paper.

Roller Burnishing of Particle Reinforced Aluminium Matrix Composites

Energy and resource efficient systems often demand the use of light-weight materials with a specific combination of properties. However, these requirements usually cannot be achieved with homogeneous materials. Consequently, composites enabling tailored properties gain more and more importance. A special kind of these materials is aluminium matrix composites (AMCs), which offer elevated strengt...

Investigation on the Consolidation Behaviour of Aluminium / nano - SiC Composite Powders Using Non - Linear Compaction Equation

The densification response of aluminium powder reinforced with nanometric SiC particles (50 nm) during uniaxial compaction was studied. To determine the effect of SiC nanoparticles on the compressibility of the matrix, monolithic Al powder was also examined. The effect of SiC nanoparticles on the densification mechanisms, i.e. particle rearrangement and plastic deformation, was analysed using m...

TENSILE AND FRACTURE CHARACTERISTICS OF A SIC- PARTICLE-REINFORCED 7075 ALUMINIUM ALLOY

Fracture behavior of a 7075 aluminium alloy reinforced with 15 Vol%. SiC particles was studied after T6 and annealing heat treatments under uniaxial tensile loading at room temperature. The scanning electron microscopy of fractured surfaces and EDS analysis showed:, that fracture mechanism changed from due mainly to fractured particle in T6 condition to interface decohesion in samples in anneal...

determinant of the hankel matrix with binomial entries

abstract in this thesis at first we comput the determinant of hankel matrix with enteries a_k (x)=?_(m=0)^k??((2k+2-m)¦(k-m)) x^m ? by using a new operator, ? and by writing and solving differential equation of order two at points x=2 and x=-2 . also we show that this determinant under k-binomial transformation is invariant.
